Export

The Export feature lets users take TRACE filter results and reports on the road. TRACE provides the following export types:

      Export to Word: Available for test run results, Tree Structure reports and filters if the format is not using Group By option.

      Export to Excel: Available for all filter results and reports.

      Export to CSV: Available for filters if the format is not using Group By option, for tree structures, for Forms History reports. Export to CSV was created to be used for offline editing of forms and then import the CSV back in TRACE updating the forms. See Export/Import.

To export data, select the appropriate link, Export to Word… or Export to Excel… or Export to CSV…, at the top of the report or filter results page and the download will start automatically.

A remarkably powerful feature of the Word export is the inclusion of table header data in the exported document. When TRACE creates section headings in the document it automatically indexes them so that Word can find them for inclusion in Table of Contents or document linking.
